Fable 167 - The Raven and the Snake

A raven who was short of food espied a snake sleeping in the sun; he swooped down, seized it and flew away with it. But the
snake twisted round and bit him, and the raven said as he was about to die:
‘How unlucky I was to find a windfall of such a kind that it would murder me!’

One could say that this fable applies to the man who discovers a treasure that threatens his life.
