Fable 337 - The Wall of the House and the Snake

A house wall, brutally pierced by a stake, cried:
‘Why are you piercing me, who have done you no harm?’
The stake replied:
‘It’s not me who is the cause of your suffering but the one who is violently hitting me from behind.’
