Fable 324 - The Pomegranate Tree, the Apple Tree, the Olive Tree, and the Bramble Bush

One day the pomegranate tree, the apple tree and the olive tree were contesting the quality of their fruits. The discussion became
rather animated and the bramble, who was listening to them from a nearby hedgerow, said:
‘Dear friends, do let us stop quarrelling with one another!’

It is thus that, at those times when the best of the citizens are divided, people of low birth try to assume importance.
