Fable 109 - Hermes and the Earth

Zeus, King of the Gods, having fashioned the first man and the first woman, told Hermes to take them to Earth and show them
where they should dig in order to grow their food. Hermes completed his mission, but Earth resisted the idea. Hermes insisted,
and said that this was on the orders of Zeus.
‘Oh well,’ said Earth, ‘let them dig as much as they like; they will pay with their sighs and with their tears.’

The fable fits those who borrow with ease and who pay with difficulty.
